Signing in
Custodos has no passwords. You sign in with a link that Custodos sends to your work email address or, where it is set up, with your Google or Microsoft account. This page shows both routes, how to join through an invitation and how to sign out.

Signing in with an email link

Open the sign-in page
Open app.custodos.com in your browser. The sign-in page shows the field Work email. - 2
Enter your address
Enter your work email address and click Continue with email. - 3
Check your inbox
Custodos shows Check your email and sends you a sign-in link. You can close the browser window. - 4
Open the link
Click the link in the email. Each link works only once. If you need access again later, request a new one.
Signing in with Google or Microsoft
Below the email field you will find the buttons Continue with Google and Continue with Microsoft, provided these sign-in routes are set up for your Custodos environment. If they are missing, sign in with the email link.
The difference matters if you have been signing in with an email link so far and want to switch to Google or Microsoft.

Following an invitation
A personal invitation arrives by email at your address and is valid for 7 days. After signing in, click Accept invitation. You must be signed in with exactly the address the invitation was sent to. If not, switch with Use another account; the invitation stays valid.
An invitation link is a link your admins share with the team. It admits members only, not admins. After signing in, click Join. How admins invite people is described under Inviting members.
When your workspace requires SSO
Admins can require everyone to sign in through the company's Google Workspace or Microsoft Entra organisation. If you are signed in with an email link, Custodos then shows Sign in with SSO. Click Sign out and sign in again with Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft using your company account.
The rule applies to this one workspace only. If you belong to other workspaces without it, the email link keeps working there. How admins set up the rule is described under Access and SSO.
Signing out
There are two ways to sign out, depending on whether only this browser or every device should be affected.

Messages when signing in
These messages appear on the sign-in page. More are listed under Error messages.

| That sign-in link has expired or was already used. | Enter your address again and open the new link. |
| This email is already registered with a different sign-in method. | Sign in with the route your account was created with, usually the email link. |
| This account can't sign in. | Custodos does not admit this account, for example because it was suspended. If you think that is wrong, write to the address in the message. |
| We couldn't send your sign-in link. | The fault is on the Custodos side. Try again in a moment. |
