Branding: your own name and logo
With branding, Custodos shows your name and logo instead of its own brand, in the sidebar, the chat, the browser tab and invitations. The feature is an add-on that the Custodos team unlocks only on request for Enterprise customers.

Prerequisite: unlocking
The Appearance section only appears on the Settings page once the Custodos team has unlocked the feature for your workspace. Branding is available only on request for Enterprise customers. Contact the Custodos team for this, for example through the contact page.
Unlocking alone changes nothing your team sees. Until an admin sets a name or a logo, everything stays Custodos. Name and logo work independently: a name without a logo keeps the Custodos mark, a logo without a name keeps the name Custodos.
Uploading a logo

Open the section
Open Settings and go to the Appearance section. - 2
Choose the file
Under Logo, click Choose logo and pick the file. - 3
Upload
Click Upload. Custodos confirms with Logo saved. - 4
Check the preview
The What your members see row shows the result. Upload a later logo with Replace logo; Remove logo brings back the Custodos mark.
Logo requirements

| Size | Custodos scales the image down in the browser to at most 512 pixels on its longer side. After that the file may be at most 512 KB. |
| Recommendation | A PNG with a transparent background works best in both the light and the dark colour scheme. |
Setting the display name
In the Display name field, enter the name that should appear instead of Custodos, at most 40 characters. The field saves as soon as you leave it or press Enter. An empty field keeps Custodos.

Your sign-in link
Under Your sign-in link, the section shows an address ending in /w/ and your workspace's short name. Anyone arriving through this address sees your logo on the sign-in page already. Share the link with your team, for example on the intranet.
The email carrying the sign-in link shows your brand only for addresses that are already members of your workspace. Everyone else receives the Custodos email.
What stays Custodos
Some places deliberately keep naming Custodos, because Custodos is the contracting party there or no workspace is known yet.
- the legal texts such as the terms, the privacy notice and the DPA
- creating a new workspace
- general error pages
- notes on the Billing page, for instance that Custodos manages the plan and credit pool
